Designing a Japanese restaurant is a challenge

The stereotypical character that these spaces have been acquiring leads us to an attempt to seek, within the identity of the place, an escape from these clichés, looking for references in the traditional elements of Japanese architecture and in the contemporary language of architecture.

codes and expression

Not adhering to predetermined codes, we created a space capable of correlating with contemporary language, acquiring its own expression. From this dichotomy arises a proposal that materializes in the use of wooden slatted planes, an indelible mark of Japanese architecture, which discreetly reveals the interior, as well as in the design of a traditional Japanese matrix cut into the ceiling and wall panels of the dining room, illuminating the space and bringing us to contemporaneity.

chromatic transition

The chromatic transition that occurs along the path, between the dark brown used in the entrance area and the white of the dining room, helps us stratify the uses and diversify the sensory experiences. Light, always the light, is the indispensable vehicle for the unity to manifest itself in an absolute way.
