A solid wooden table is traditionally bulky by the nature of its materials, the table top is heavy and the legs must be strong to support its weight. The lisbOa table was designed with the purpose of contradicting the heritage of solid wooden tables. Albeit substantial, it has a shape that suggests lightness and delicacy. The table's top edges are thin, creating a lightweight feel. Looking at the angled legs, you cannot help but envision one's sitting position. The skinny graceful shape increases the sensation of levity and weightlessness, but it's all an illusion. Inside the wooden legs, one hidden structure in stainless steel supports the weight and prevents the angled shape from fracturing. The lisbOa table was designed for one of our architectural projects in Lisbon, that's what inspired its name.
